June 26 2008
Summer has finally hit Jackson Hole. Until a few weeks ago snow blessed the remaining motivated skiers in the valley and plagued those looking to hit the trails. Now in the midst of a solid streak of warm weather the lower trails are dry and riding well, allowing a much needed relief from Jack Daniels and staring at a computer screen for hours on end. The whole office is busting ass on Under The Influence and things are starting to take shape! In the last week Sage Cattabriga-Alosa and Seth Morrison have stopped by to work on their segments, which is a task considering how much A+ footage we were able to shoot during this crazy long winter. On the side the crew has been sneaking away from the edit cave for some riding; raising the question of what will kill us first, our late night editing sessions or the freeride trails on the pass. Keep checking in for updates on Under The Influence coming this fall. We might even get a trailer out on of these days!

Haines - Afternoon Glass!

Haines, AK - March 20 2008
TGR came out of the gates hot in Haines this year. The crew consisting of Seth Morrison, Jeremy Jones, Erik Roner and Dana Flahr arrived to sunny skies , good stability and ripping snow. This resulted in one of the most productive first days that TGR has ever had in AK. The following days were spent watching the weather and hoping for a pocket of sun to sample the freshly fallen snow. Fortunately, that's exactly what we got. The crew took a chance and got into the high country despite looming clouds and low fog - just in time for a late afternoon glass off. Highlights of the day were Seth's 60ft front flip stomp and a sketchy tech line ridden by Jeremy Jones. Here are some pictures from day 2!

Persistence Pays Off

TGR founder Steve Jones and principal cinematographer Matt Herriger met up with Kye Petersen, Erik Roner, and Wiley Miller to film for TGR's new film, Under The Influence. After a week of high avalanche danger in Romania, and low tide conditions in Grindelwald/Wengen, Arosa was a refreshing surprise. The conditions were a little firm but 8 inches of new snow, blue skies, and an aggressive crew were enough to make some things happen. Erik Roner hiked a picturesque line with lots of rock and exposure. With slough pouring over the rocks Roner got completely engulfed and spit out of the barrel on his feet. Guide, Ambassador, and photographer Gary Bachman showed us the goods and was able to get us early ups on the mountain. After mixed conditions throughout the Old Country, persistence paid off and we were able to pull some shots.
